Czech Centre for Human Rights and Democracy
The Centre is an independent academic institution monitoring human rights developments both domestically and worldwide, issuing a monthly Bulletin, as well as organizing conferences.
One of the Center's members Linda Janků was invited by the Czech Television to present a critical position of the Czech Ombudsman (Anna Šabatová) towards a draft of the bill on foreigners' health insurance. Understanding the Syrian Conflict
will take place.
Ibrahim Fayad, a Syrian national who come from an area which was one of the most affected by the conflict and who currently studies political science at the Faculty of social science in Brno will talk about the conflict, its past, present and future.
Issues discussed will include: the role of international actors in the conflict (Iran, Russia, USA, Arab countries), the role of ethnic groups or religion.
