The Centre is an independent academic institution monitoring human rights developments both domestically and worldwide, issuing a monthly Bulletin, as well as organizing conferences.

Ladislav Vyhnánek, member of the Center, commented on the US Supreme Court case concerning the rights of homosexuals. Ladislav Vyhnánek was invited to the Czech Television show "Týden v jusitici" ("Week in Courts") to comment on the pending decision whether the US Constitution requires that same-sex couples be allowed to marry.

Faculty of Law of the Masaryk University and Center for Human Rights and Democratization invities you to a conference about International and National Prosecution of International Crimes: Failures, Challenges and Prospects, that will take place on 27 November 2014 at 10:45 in the Public Defender of Rights building (situated at Údolní 39, Brno).

One of the Center's members Linda Janků was invited by the Czech Television to present a critical position of the Czech Ombudsman (Anna Šabatová) towards a draft of the bill on foreigners' health insurance.
