The Centre is an independent academic institution monitoring human rights developments both domestically and worldwide, issuing a monthly Bulletin, as well as organizing conferences.

As you might have already noticed due to funny behavior of our web we have been preparing a few changes and innovations for you. We have uploaded all the issues of Czech Republic Human Rights Review on Publero so that you can browse through it and read it online. You can also easily search in them, using Google powered search bar in Archive.

Do you want to improve your curriculum, or do you simply want to spend the summer actively and learn something useful? We bring you an updated list of summer schools that focus on international human rights law, democratisation, and much more. The selection is diverse enough for everyone to find their favourite topic.

A screening of an award winning documentary Kabul Transit will be held in room P31 at the Faculty of Social Science (Joštova 10, Brno) on Monday, 15 April 2013, from 16:00. A discussion with its director professor David Edwards will follow.

In an interview for the Czech Television, Linda Janků, one of members of the Center, presented key findings and conclusions of the Shadow Report drafted by the Center for the European Network Against Racism (ENAR).

13. 3. 2013  

In February 2013 the Center became focused on issues related to connections between business and human rights. In the Czech-language edition of the Bulletin (2/2013), the Center started the debate on these issues with an introductory article by Tereza Dolezalova.

19. 2. 2013  

Helena Bončková, member of the Center, published a comment on the decision of the European Court of Human Rights in the case of Lutsenko v. Ukraine.

This decision is a crucial one as it is a first oficial opinion of the European Court of Human Rights contributing to debates relating to politization of trials of former members of "orange" government of Julia Tymoshenko.

Primary motivation for creating such a list was to offer more or less a comprehensive material which could help foreign obervers of human rights issues in the Czech Republic to orientate in the area of Czech human rights organizations.
